A Note on Language
Some of the words used in this collection, which would have been in common use at the time of recording, may no longer be considered appropriate in referring to Aboriginal people. For example, informants may be referred to as "full-bloods" or "half-casts" on the recording reports. We have retained these words on this site in order to be faithful to Flint's material, but we acknowledge that some people find them inappropriate. We do not wish to cause offense in our use of them.
