Yanyula

The territory traditionally associated with Yanyula extends along the coast of the Northern Territory from the Limmen River to an area opposite the Sir Edward Pellew Islands, and includes the Sir Edward Pellew Islands (Kirton & Charlie 1996:1). Yanyula is centred at Boorooloola. Neighbouring languages include Garawa to the east and Mara to the northwest (Kirton & Charlie (1996:1).

Other names for the Yanyula people and language include Anyula, Anyuwa or Yanyuwa, and Wadiri (Kirton & Charlie 1996:1).
