ALS98 LOGO The 1998 Annual Conference of the Australian Linguistic Society (ALS) was held at Emmanuel College, the University of Queensland, 3-5 July, just prior to ALI-98 (Australian Linguistics Institute). The first day of the conference was held as a joint session with ALAA-98, (Applied Linguistics Association of Australia) at Griffith University (Nathan Campus).
